Hallo!!!

It has been a long time since I write something in this blog. Am I busy? You can assume that. Busy in making this world a better place to live? If improving face protecting mask falls into make world for a better place category so count me in. Work morning until evening, bring the kids to play ground, writing, eating, sleeping and so on. My life is pretty much routine like everybody else. What do you expect from life? That is pretty much it. Sometimes I feel like I played the world by the balls and sometimes I feel like a total loser. That’s life too, up and down. Let me write a quote from a movie that I like; There are two kinds of people in this world, those who stand up and face the music and those who run for cover. When shits hit the fan, cover’s better.

My sister already graduated. Pay attention, with double degree. How do you like them apple? She is just 22 or something. I never pay attention to age actually. It is just a sum of number to mess up your mind. My parents must be really proud. I do proud of her achievement with a condition. Just don’t ask me what I already achieved with my age. Congratulation is the right word for her I guess. Way to go my sister!!!! Though I am still waiting for the report, stories about Hj Lazim and Hjh Zainab trip to the State. 10 Paragraphs sound great I guess. My brother will be graduating too although he is already enjoying his career as a teacher. Me? Save the best for the last sound too gay or cliché. It cannot be twice a day because it is not my birthday sound better.

I moved out from Gross Groenau. It is a must. The landlord found the right buyer for the house. To leave that kind of house with that kind of environment made me sad. But what you gonna do. You got to go, you got to go. I live in the city right now. It is a small apartment with totally different surrounding compare to Goss Groenau. But it is a good different though. If I am hungry at mid night and have no food in the kitchen, bamm Doenner. If I feel like playing with the kids, bamm 5 minutes with foot, I am there. If I want to shop some groceries bamm Aldi sagt Danke, Sky, Penny or Edaka is near by. The best part is, if I have a car (read something else) bammm oil station is 24 hour open and in walking distance too. Maybe in Gross Groenau is more suitable for living with family and stuff. Not that I have regret but this new house fit me better.

It is enough already for today. Hope  idea will start pouring through my head so I can contribute and write something that is matter into this blog. Lastly, Word to the wise, just don’t insult the main owner intelligence, it’ll make him angry. Put kidding aside, when he delicate, he delicate. Something to think about, I know I will.

Meeting The Master VIII

I went to the capital city last few weeks. It was just for a short weekend trip but I was able to make full use of the time that I had. One of the activities was visiting a senior Gayong teacher, Cikgu Mufti Ansari. The journey to met him was a bit challenging, but surely the meeting was really worth it. Cikgu Hafiz Stoke and I with the help of Cikgu Hakim France was able to gain something interesting when we met him.

Cikgu Mufti. Picture taken from Cg Hakim’s page

It was after midnight when we met Cikgu Mufti. He had just finished his training along with his students. There were having conversation to catching up things that they have missed. After that, three of us went to Cikgu Mufti’s house. I just know that Cikgu Mufti’s wife is also a great Gayong scholar. She is the Ibu Gayong for the Selangor state and among the best female gayong practitioners. .

Cikgu Mufti is the third generation in the Gayong school under the Grandmaster. As usual, when you meet an expert, you would feel that you are really small and perhaps not even exist on the map. The same thing happened to me as I feel that I knew nothing and I need to learn a loooooot from Cikgu Mufti. I feel that I am also blessed as he has shown his trust to us by pouring parts of his knowledge that he gained from the late Grandmaster in my first meeting with him. The knowledge that was shared was indeed really exclusive to me. Alhamdulillah.

Time flies really fast. We only step out of his house at about 6.00 in the morning. The comeback of these young students is a must. Insyaallah..

The choice is yours

Yin & Yang

Angle and Evil,
True and False,
Bright and Dark,
White and Black,
Heaven and Hell,
Sweet and Bitter,
Wide and Narrow,
Positive and Negative.

We are human,
Yin and Yang are in us,

We choose.

M.Nasir says in his song, Bukalah Hitimu, “Jangan Hentam Keromo Nanti Takut-takut Salah Tarik Nak Tarik Ular Lidi Tertarik Naga”.

There will be consequences of our choice. If the consequences  is not today, perhaps it is tomorrow. If it is not tomorrow, perhaps it is next week, month or years to come.. Definitely the day will come, either it is in this world, or hereafter.

Oh God! Grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter, and save us from the chastisement of the fire [Al Baqarah, 201]

My Toys VIII

It is a simple Rally Classic Victorinox  Swiss Army knife. It was born along with a few more siblings when I had my summer vacation in Switzerland on 2008. So the multipurpose knife has been with me for two years. The knife is pretty sharp compared to the office knife. Thus it helps me a lot when I want to cut something small.

Personalised version..

These are the descriptions given by the Victorinox website about the knife:-

Our popular pocket-tool on a key chain provides valuable services for you every day. It is small, light, elegant, robust and functional all at the same time – an indispensable companion. The VICTORINOX metal inlay Emblem in the polished Cellidor handle is your guarantee for quality. The Signature model – with its handy ballpoint pen – is noteworthy as the only pocket-tool available with a pressurized ink refill that folds from 104 mm into a small key chain knife only 58 mm long.

Looking at the website, I just realised that the functions of the knife are a lot. Each corner of the knife has its own purpose, whether I realised it or not. huhuhu

Some of the functions are:

  1. blade
  2. nailfile with
  3. screwdriver
  4. cap lifter with
  5. magnet. Phillips screwdriver
  6. wire stripper
  7. key ring stainless
  8. tweezers
  9. toothpick
  10. tweezers or toothpick

The knife is indeed a friend of mine because it is a friend when I need it. A friend in need is a friend indeed. huu

Happy Mother’s Day

When I go out of the classes at school, my students will say..

“Terima Kasih Cikgu, Maafkan Kami Cikgu, Halalkan Ilmu Cikgu, Doakan Kami Cikgu!!” with the loudest voice that they can make.

Maa and Abah before they went for their vacation.. huu

I would like to say the same thing to my mother, but with the deeper meaning..

Thank You Mother for everything that you have given me.

Please forgive us mother for all the wrongdoing that I have committed.

Please ‘halalkan’ everything that I get from you.

Please pray for us as well.

Happy mother’s day ❤ hungs and kisses ❤

Outstanding All-Rounder

It has been 5 days, and I am still wondering how on God’s earth my class was selected as the winner of the weekly inter school competition for the cleanliness, neatness and decoration of the class. It was a shock as the class is currently in a mess. When I entered other classes, the feel is different always better than mine. huu

Perhaps it was a sign to tell me that I need to show some effort to do something to my classroom, especially in transforming the students’ attitude to love their class. Then only the other works will become easier.. The decorating part is not my field. Do I need to consult the experts to do the total makeover? Shall I call either Deco bersama Eric or Extreme Makeover?

Less than a month ago, I was in shock as well. It happened when I was appointed as a classroom teacher when the school reshuffled the timetable. The feel was like when you give a birth of 34 babies in one go. Don’t imagine it because you can’t. huu.. If you want to feel it, be a classroom teacher, especially for the year one students. I always admire them for having the passionate to give birth to such cute tiny little kids. huhuhu

Well, looking at it positively, it is a wide opportunity for me to learn. Just enjoy the joke that students make. They never fail to create one especially when your brain cannot function properly or when smoke come out of your ears.. huhuhu..

Keeping Students Quiet

Students definitely love to talk. Even if they are not talking, they would be very busy doing their own business or what we call off task. As I do not want to be consistently cruel to the students, I have to use other methods which will not physically and mentally hurt them .

In the class today, when I wanted to tell them a story, a few students could not sit still. When I gave a gaze to them, they act like nothing happen. I tried hard to give more scary look to them but nothing happen. They only pay attention just when I gaze them like my eyes were about to pop out. huhuhu. Then other students will start not paying attention. The circle went on and on which made me had to call names and tried other prevention methods. huhu

As it was a shared reading activity, students sit around me and listened to the story that I read. However, because of these short attention creatures, I had to make them all focus and quiet first before we can move on to continue reading the story. Then I got a revelation!

I told all students to zip the imaginary zipper on their mouth, lock the zipper and throw the key away. Alhamdulillah, all of them were exited and did what I told. A few minutes after that, after I have read the all the story. There was a pronunciation exercise, I asked my students to pronounce certain words. And almost all of the students say the word aloud.

However, a few students refuse to open their mouth. They gave sign language to me which I translated as their request to get the keys back to unlock the zipper and unzip their mouth before they can do the pronunciation exercise. I just ignore their request and continue with the activity.

However, their friends joined them as they realised that they haven’t unlock their mouth as well. They were struggling to talk but they couldn’t. They felt that they need to unzip their mouth first. OMG, should I join the mess as well? my monologue asked me. “This is the first and the last time I join in this kind of weird yet cute act” I said to my myself.

“Ok, I have the master key which can open all the locks” I told the mute students while throwing the key to the students. All of them got exited and caught the key. They unlocked their zipper happily. Their eyes showed the satisfactory as though they just came out of pizza hut with full stomach.

After that, they have made the loudest voice that they could in the pronunciation exercise. Their action were really cute and able to entertain me whenever I remember it throughout the day.

P/s: I could not remember that I was a talkative and imaginative boy when I was in my primary school. Was I?

Hunting the Bulleye

Alhamdulillah, God has granted my wish years ago, which is to learn archery. I was really grateful as I was appointed as one of the teachers in charge of the school archery team. I have the opportunity to touch bow and arrows again after the first time I touched them when I was in UK. After having training for about a week at school, we headed for the game. The game took place under the Sport Carnival MSSJ which was held in Tangkak, Johor.

The view from where I stayed. Gunung Ledang, the mount with legends..

The competitors test the setting of their bow.

The archers during the competition.. The result was not that good. But insyaallah we will do better next year.

Many sexy gadgets could be seen there. The one like this is definitely in my wish list.. I was informed that it costs about two months of my sallary.. In addition, a dozen of good quality arrow costs nearly a thousand ringgit.. huu
